The best known traditional specialties Amaretto, Colomba, Panettone, Pandoro and Savoiardo comply to a strict regulation adopted by Italian producers to avoid imitations and provide consumers with transparent information. Only Italian products are characterised by specific rules for labelling, recipes for each denomination, a specific set of ingredients with minimum percentage for distinctive ones and rules for the presence of optional ingredients admitted.
