Canestrelli
Canestrelli originated in the Monferrato area (between Piedmont and Liguria). Shaped like small doughnuts with a decorated edge, they are delicious shortbread biscuits, abundantly covered with confectioner’s sugar after baking.
Serving Suggestions:
Canestrelli are best served at the end of a meal. They are a perfect treat when dipped in coffee.
